How about anxiety?
As always, the post is only reflecting my own thoughts. I am, in no way, an educated physician or scientist.
Since I work within the field of Hypnosis (amongst other things) people often turn to me with problems related to anxiety.
With this Covid-19 spreading around the people that have real issues with anixety seems to increase. I find that totally understandable of course.
In many parts of the world, however, getting help for any kind of mental problem seems to be stigmatized. It appears that many people out there has a belief that if you show any kind of feeling of being vulnerable it must mean that you are weak in one way or another.
I`d rather say the opposite. If you experience anxiety it shows that you are built to survive. If we look back to the early years of mankind, you`d have to be alert and open for any kind of dangers in your surrounding, right? A strange sound could mean real danger, a unknown animal the very same.

It`s when the anxiety gets beyond the rational point you need to pay attention about it. Going through something in your mind a 1000 times before it even happends can cause a lot of unnecessary grief, not to mention on how much energy it could drain from a person.
Being sure that you cant pull something through and that feeling causing you to give up before you even started, thats a sure thing that something needs to change.
There are many ways to deal with anxiety, and as I said, you also need to consider wether the anxiety that you feel is an obstacle to you in life.

For a lot of people that now are experiencing anxiety with the tides of Corona-news sweeping over us I have an advice; If you read something really terrifying online, take a deep breath, and question what you are reading.
Does it really seem logical? Not based on something that you`ve read that a best friends mothers aunts cousin shared on facebook but maybe based on what WHO has said about it?
If it all seems to be correct, how can you handle it? Can you change anything about it or how you relate to it?
If you cant, then you still have a choice and that is your next step, will hiding under a blanket help you out? Maybe it will, maybe it wont, thats up for you to decide -not me.
If you can do something differently according to the information you`ve just received, make proper adjustments in your way of life and carry on.
Some things in life we can`t change, no matter how much we`d like to. But very often they can inspire us, if we choose to be inspired, to discover something new or do something differently then before. We choose ourselves if we want it to become something better for us or not.
