How to make things grow..

It`s been said millions of times before but I´m sure we all need a reminder every now and then, over and over again;

 

Whatever you focus on will grow.

 

Fear is a splendid example of this. If you get frightened enough by something, let`s say a spider for example, you will probably choose to focus on where it is in relation to where you are in a room. You will avoid to get too close to it, some people will experience fear so strong that they will freeze and be unable to move an inch. Others will run out of the room, slamming the door behind them and refuse to go back into that place until another person have removed the "threat", in this very example the spider.

That spider will become their whole world (apparently not a nice and pleasant one) in that moment and determine whatever action they will take next. When fear "talks to you" logic wont "raise its voice" unless it has to.

The positive thing is, however, that the same thing can happen if we choose to focus on something positive n our surrounding. Have you ever seen a parent with a newborn child, totally engulfed in the joy of parenthood? Suddenly that baby in their arms becomes a eternal source of joy and happiness. The two together seem to be in a baby-bubble for a while filled with tenderness, happiness and love? It`s like nothing else ever existed, no threats at all, no diseases, nothing to worry them - nothing but the happiness of that exact moment.
 
Thats positive, the most positive thing is though that You can choose where to aim Your focus. A lot of times we tend to focus on negative stuff for no  real reason instead of putting our energy and focus on something that is positive.
Get me right, I dont mean that you are supposed to sit on the reailwaytrack, focusing on a  coltsfoot while a train is approaching, that would only be foolish. But when there isnt a real threat, how about looking for the positive instead of something negative?
 
If you focus on a deep wrinkle on your forehead instead of that lovely dimple that shows when you smile you might miss out on that specific part of your beauty completely! Surely that would be a waste of time that you instead could have invested in appreaciating yourself and your features?
If you focus too much on the negative things thats going on in the world and that you cant change anyway you might missout on a childs bubbly, infectious, laughter that could fill up your whole body with energy?
 
So come on now, focus on the right stuff! Give me an example of something that makes You happy in Your world today?
